NIYS Symphonic Band

Welcome to our inaugural year for the NIYS Symphonic Band. We are ecstatic to provide an ensemble tailored to the wind and percussion player. The addition of a new symphonic band marks an exciting and meaningful milestone for NIYS. Wind and percussion players deepen their music experience by preparing for the independant parts of a full symphony orchestra. Midway through the year, the band will join forces with our string orchestras, creating a full symphonic ensemble. This collaboration will give students the invaluable experience of performing in a modern symphony. Together, these ensembles will inspire one another and elevate the musical experience for both performers and audiences alike.

 

NIYS Symphonic Band represents growth and strengthens our commitment to the young musician's development, accessibility, and artistic opportunity. With its diverse instrumentation and expansive repertoire, NIYS offers students the chance to experience everything from bold, dramatic works to delicate and expressive pieces.

The NIYS Symphonic Band welcomes all wind and percussion players. Audition is required for chair placement. Please check out the "Registration" page. We look forward to working with you!
